Mitigation Banks


EPC currently manages two mitigation banks with service areas that incorporate much of the upstate of South Carolina. This Comparison Table compares and details the HUC watersheds and ecoregions serviced by the banks we manage.


Grove Creek


Overview

Owned by Hollingsworth Funds and operated by Environmental Permitting Consultants Inc., the Grove Creek Mitigation Bank is the first mitigation bank to service the Upstate of South Carolina.

Encompassing over 580 acres the objectives of the bank are to restore, enhance and protect with ample buffers over 9 miles of streams and 43 acres of wetlands.

The activities performed at the bank have accrued a wide variety of both stream and wetland credits that can be utilized throughout the assigned service areas.

The bank services the Southern Lower Piedmont Ecoregions of HUC units 3050109, 3050108, 3050107, 3050106 and 3050105. Map of Service area.

Sandy Fork


Overview

Owned by RMC & Associates and operated by Environmental Permitting Consultants Inc., the Sandy Fork Mitigation Bank is located in Fairfield County South Carolina.

The bank services the Southern Lower Piedmont Ecoregion of HUC units 3050106, 3050101, 3050103, 3050104, 3050105, 3050107, 3050108 and 3050109. The bank may also be utilized to offset impacts associated with projects in the Slate Belt and Upper Southern Piedmont ecoregions. Map of Service area.
